    Research Summary  
   

I am interested in developing nano technologies for diagnostic and prognostic cancer imaging and translating them into clinic practice.  Multiplexed immuno-staining with Qdots provides us with a nice approach to profile a panel of cancer biomarkers for any single specimen from patients. Therefore, it allows a much more reliable diagnosis than conventional methods.  My projects will help both the doctors and patients by establishing links between the fingerprints of cancer biomarkers and clinic outcomes.  In addition, I am working with my colleagues in Nie group to develop robust methods of bioconjugation for nano particles.

My research interests include fundamental understanding of nano- materials, development, and applications of microfabricated devices.
